Solomon Stow and wife v. Heirs of Thomas Huson decd. Filed 3 Mar. 1840. Suit concerns division of slaves which were to be divided when youngest came of age. File contains copy of Will of Mason Huson of Lincoln Co., N.C. executed 22 Aug. 1817 with a Codicil 6 Oct. 1817. mason Huson died 1817 leaving heirs: widow Mary who has married John Friddle and moved to Monroe Co. and minor children, Elizabeth now Elizabeth McKinzie who has another slave willed to her by her grandfather Thomas Huson; Thomas who moved to Missouri and died leaving three children, Angeline, Mason, and Perella, all minors; John now of Roane Co.; Parella now wife of Solomon Stow of McMinn Co.; Zerephiah now decd. wife of Andrew Allen whose son John is a minor of Monroe Co.; son Mason Ridley who has evidently died without heirs; william M. now 21 of Monroe Co., being the unborn child named in the Will. The Execs. named were trusty friend William Youngblood and wife Mary. Youngblood removed leaving Mary as sole Exec. Complainants say "So far from being governed by the rules that should prevail between brothers and sisters, the said defendants have resorted to those of Snatch."

Solomon Stow & wife Parilla vs. John & Mary Friddle, John B. & Wm. M. Huson, Andrew Allen, John Allen and others.
Be it Remembered that on this 23rd day of September 1840 came on this cause to be finally heard and determined before the Hon. Thomas L. Williams Chancellor &c. by consent of parties. It is ordered and judged and decreed by the Court that the Negro Sylva mentioned in the Bill remain with Respondent Mary Friddle, for her sole use and benefit, during her natural life, and that at her death said negro woman and her increase shall be sold at public sale for the best price that can be obtained, and the proceeds divided equally between Solomon Stow & wife, Andrew Allen, John Huson and William M. Huson. It is further ordered and decreed that the title to the negro boy Richard be confirmed and vested in John B. Huson; that the title to Stephen be confirmed and vested in Andrew Allen; that title to Leo be vested in William M. Huson, and the title of Henry in complainant & wife. And it is further ordered and decreed that to make up the portion of the said William equal with the other heirs, that he have a certain negro boy named Green and the title is hereby vested in the said William M. It is further ordered and decreed by the Chancellor that John B. Huson Andrew Allen & William Huson pay the costs of this cause.
