Deed of Conveyance. Clift & Robt. C. McRee to Benj. Wallace. 100 acres Land.

This indenture made and entered into this 18th day of November and in the year of Our Lord one thousand, eight hundred and forth three, between William Clift & Robert C. McCree of the one part and the Rev. Benjamin Wallace of the other part all of the County of Hamilton and State of Tennessee.

Witnesseth that the better to enable the said Benjamin Wallace to prosecute the Gospel Ministry in this section of Country for many other considerations of respect and regard the said Clift and McCree do by these presents give, and bequeath, transfer and convey, unto the said Benjamin Wallace, the following described tract or parcel of land by general warrantee title, and is bounded as follows to wit:

Begining on a post oak corner to William McGill and Benjamin Wallace, thence N 85o W with McGill's line crossing the Valey Road 180 poles to a stake, thence south 85o W 80 poles to a stake, thence a straight line to McCree's corner on the point of a sharp ridge between the Dallas and Valley Roads, thence E 80 poles to a post oak McRee corner thence a strait line to post oak corner to said Wallace thence N 80o W 48 poles to the begining to contain one hundred acres be the same more or less.

To have and to hold unto the said Benjamin Wallace his heirs and assigns forever against the lawful claims of the said Clift & McCree their heirs and assigns and all and evry person or persons. In Witness whereof we have hereunto set our hands and fixed our seals the day and date above set.

State of Tennessee, Hamilton County } Personally appeared before me Benj. B. Cannon Deputy Clerk of the County Court of said County William Clift & Robert C. McRee the within named bargainers with both of whom I am personally acquainted, and who both acknowledged that they executed the within Deed of Conveyance for the purposes therein contained. Witness my hand at office in harison the 8th day of January AD 1844.

State of Tennessee Hamilton County } Registers Office, Harrison 11 o'clock AM of the 10th day of January 1844, then was the within Deed received and together with the certificates thereon endorsed. Registered in this Office in Book E Pages 385 & 386. Given under my hand the date last writen, John H. Torbett Register of said County.
