Registered January 12th AD 1874

State of Tennessee Hardeman County
Know all men by these presents that I A M Lambeth Sr. hath this day bargained, Sold, aliened and by these presents, convey and confirm unto A M Lambeth Jr. all of the County of Hardeman and State of Tennessee, for and in consideration of Two Thousand ($2000) dollars, to me in hand paid in lawful currency the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, the following described tract of land, "to wit"

Beginning at a maple stump E G Duncan SE Corner, near the Memphis & Charleston Rail Road, running with his line west 57 poles, to a stake white oak and Sasafras and maple pointers, the SW Corner of a 124 Acre Survey, granted to E. G. Duncan, by Grant No 13239. thence with his line North 40 poles, to a white Oak his Corner, thence with Duncan line North 63o W 32 poles to a stake maple and black oak pts. thence N 22o w. 74 poles to a stake poplar and maple pts. said Duncans Corner thence with his line North 11 poles to a post oak and Dogwood pts, thence with his line west 34 poles, to a stake 2 post oak and black oak pts; thence with Wm M Beck his North 89 poles to a stake, 2 poplar and black oak pointers, thence with the line of J B Jones, tan yard tract of land East 162 poles, to a stake white oak pts, then SE Corner of the tan yard land, thence with the line of said land North 43 poles to a stake Dogwood and Spanish oak pts. thence with line of I. M. Bowling land East passing Bolings Corner at 116 in all 148 poles to a black oak near Robert Rankins Jr. house thence South 120 poles to a stake Mulberry hickory and ash pointers thence west 83 poles to a white oak, red bud and Dogwood pts. thence south 60 poles to a stake, hickory Cypress and overcup pts., thence west 24 poles to a hickory Dogwood pts, thence S 40o W 38 poles to a stake, small hickory pts, thence west 91 poles to a stake to an ash hickory and white oak pts., thence south 56 poles to the Begining,

containing (300) three hundred acres the above tract of land lying in Hardeman County Tennessee in Civil District 11 west of Muddy Creek, and North of and nearly adjoining the Memphis & Charleston Rail Road. Know as the Robert Ranking Jr. Deed home place and willed by him August 17th AD 1842 to his daughter Mary A Park, wife of J. M. park, and sold to me by the said A M Lambeth jr. and his wife Fanny P. Lambeth, who fell him to said land by death of her said mother Mary N Park, on the 2nd 1869.

To have and to hold ... Given under my hand and seal this 8th day of January 1872.
