Know all men by these presents that I M V Lacefield of said County & State have this day the 23rd day of September 1869 AD Sold and by these presents do bargain sell & convey to N K Simpson the following tract of land (viz) Ninety Acres more or less in range one Section two, Ninth Surveyors District. Beginning at a Hickory with Spanish Oak black oak & hickory pointers 42 Poles East of the North east corner of Entry 502 for 200 Acres made in the name of John Kenedy running thence 120 poles north to a beech & holly Thence west 120 poles to  Hickory with 2 White Oak pointers Thence South 120 poles to a black Oak with 3 white Oak pointers thence East 120 poles to the Beginning, Containing By estimation 90 Acres be the same more or less To have and to hold to the said N K Simpson his heirs and assigns forever and I the said M V Lacefield for & the consideration of Four hundred & fifty Dollars ($450) to me in hand paid do warrant & forever defend the right and title to the said N K Simpson his heirs and assigns as witness my hand & Seal this September the 23rd 1869.            M V Lacefield (Seal) J I Simpson C M Lambeth State of Tennessee Hardeman County } Personally appeared ... Know all men by these presents that I M V Lacefield of said County and State have this day the 23rd day of September 1869 AD Sold and by these presents do bargain sell & convey to N K Simpson the following tract of land (viz) Ninety eight & one half Acres in range one Section two ninth Surveyors District. Beginning at an Ash, Black Oak and Elm pointers on east boundary line of an occupant made in the name of John McKaughan 84 poles South of his South east corner and runs north with the same 84 poles to a Stake with two white Oak pointers on the south boundary line of an occupant survey for 90 acres made in the name of W. Boyd runs 42 poles to a hickory pine S.E. corner then north with his east boundary line 120 poles to a beech & holly on the north boundary line of an Occupant Survey made in the name of D. Pate Thence East with the same 60 poles to a black Oak thence north 204 poles to a Hickory thence west 204 poles to the Beginning being the same land Sold back by the Clerk June the 4th 1857 as the property of Sven Grantham Decd. and purchased by Pitser Miller. To have & to hold to the said N K Simpson his heirs and assigns forever & I the said M V Lacefield for & in the consideration of Four hundred & fifty Dollars ($450.00) to me in hand paid do warrant & forever defend the title to the said N K Simpson as witness my hand and Seal this September the 23rd 1869.            M V Lacefield (Seal) J I Simpson C M Lambeth State of Tennessee Hardeman County } Personally appeared ...
