Filed at 3 oC PM March 10th 1854 Asa Bishop To William Simpson } Deed 100 A This Indenture made the 21st day of Febuary in the year of our Lord one Thousand Eight Hundred and fifty four and between Asa Bishop of the County of Hardeman of the one part and William Simpson of the county aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that the said Asa Bishop for and in consideration of the sum of five hundred and fifty five Dollars to him in hand paid Truly paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath Granted Bargained and sold and by these presents doth Grant Bargain and sell unto the said William Simpson his heirs and assigns a certain tract or parcel of Land situate lying and Being In the county of Hardeman on the waters of Porters creek containing By estimation one hundred Acres and bounded as follows to Wit Beginning 134 Poles North of the North of the West corner of John C Davidsons Land at a stake Thence East 160 Poles to a Stake 3 Post oak Pointers Thence North one hundred poles to a stake 3 Black Jack and one Post oak Pointer Thence West 160 Poles to an oak hickory sweet Gum and Persimon pointers Thence South 100 to the Beginning containing by Estimation one hundred Acres be the same More or less to have and to hold ... in witness whereof the said Asa Bishop hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal the Day and year above Written. signed sealed and delivered In presence of            Asa Bishop (sl)  Attest Wm Jacobs A K Simpson State of Tennessee Hardeman County } Personally appeared ...
