William Simpson Sen. To William Simpson Junr.
This Indenture made the 22nd day of September In the year of Our Lord one thousand eight Hundred and thirty four Between William Simpson Senr. of the county of Hardeman and State of Tennessee of the one part and William Simpson Junr. of the county and State aforesaid of the other part

Witnesseth that I the said William Simpson Senr. for and in consideration of sum of Eleven hundred & forty dollars lawful money of the State of Tennessee to him in hand paid by the said William Simpson Junr. the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged he the said William Simpson Senr. hat bargained sold and delivered and by these presents do bargain grant sell deliver and make over unto the said William Simpson Junr. and his heirs forever a certain tract or parcel of land situate lying and being in the ninth district of Hardeman County in Range one Section two on big Hatchie river and bounded as follows (To Wit)

Beginning at a Stake and Hornbeam and Hickory pointers Six hundred and forth poles north of the south west corner of section Two running thence north two hundred poles to a Poplar gum an cypress pointers thence East one hundred Eight four & 2/5 poles to a white oak and black oak pointers thence South two hundred poles to a black gum & hickory or beach pointers thence west one hundred and eight four & 2/5 poles to the beginning containing Two hundred and Twenty eight acres be the same more or less

To have and to hold ... IN Wittness whereof he the said William Simpson Senr. hath hereunto set his hand and seal the day and year first above written. Signed Sealed and delivered in presence of us.

State of Tennessee Hardeman County } Personally appeared before me Thomas J. Hardeman clerk of the county court for said County L. Rosson and William Powell subscribing Wittnesses to the within Deed of Bargain & Sale with whom I am personally acquainted and who being duly sworn in form of Law depose and say that they heard William Simpson the bargainer to the said deed acknowledge the same to be his act and deed for the purposes therein expressed and on the day and year it bears date.
       Witness my hand at office November 27th 1834.
