This Indenture Made this second day of September in the Year of Our Lord one Thousand & Ninety Seven Between Matthew Pryor of the County of Granville & State of N Carolina of the one part & Micajah Bullock of the County & State aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that the sd. Matthew Pryor for & in consideration of the Sum of forty five pounds Virga. currency to him in hand paid the Rect. of which is hereby acknowledged hath given granted bargained & sold & by these presents doth give grant bargain & sell unto the sd. Micajah Bullock his heirs and assigns forever, one certain Tract of land lying & being in the County of Granville aforesaid & on the West side of the Ledge of Rocks Creek containing one hundred & fifteen Acres be the same more or less & bounded as follweth (to wit) Begining at A birch on the creek Micajah Bullocks Corner thence by his line West 106 poles to a pine Jacob Huffmans corner thence by his line So. 148 pole to a red oak in Mary Byars line thence by her line No. 51 Degs. East to her corner Red oak thence by her other line So. 39 Degs. east to the Creek thence up the Various courses of sd. Creek to the Begining To have hold & enjoy ... In Testimony whereof he hath hereunto set his hand & affixed his Seal the day & year first above Written.            Matthew Pryor (Seal) Signd Sealed & Delivd. in presence of Benjn. Bullock, Edward Bullock State of N Carolina Granville County February Court 1798.
