This Indenture Made this Fifteenth day of October in the Year of Our Lord one Thousand Seven Hundred & Ninety Seven Between Harris Ogilvie of the One part & John Dalby of the other part both of the County of Granville & State of No. Carolina Witnesseth that he the sd. Harris Ogilvie for an in consideration of the sum of one hundred & thirty pounds Virga. Money to him in hand paid by the sd. John Dalby before the Sealing & delivery of these presents the Rect. whereof he the sd. Harris Ogilvie doth hereby acknowledge hath given granted bargained sold made over & conveyed delivered & confirmed unto the sd. John Dalbey one certain tract or parcel of land Situate lying & being in Granville County aforesaid containing Three hundred acres be the same more or less & is bounded as followeth (to wit) Begining at a black Jack in the head of a glade William Ogilvie corner thence by his line West 40 poles to a pine his corner thence by his line to a Willow oak in a drain thence up the drian 30 poles to a willow oak & Sweet gum thence to & along John Ogilvies line to a post oak in Jinkins's line thence by Jenkins's line North 40 Degs. west 140 poles to a Red oak Joseph Adams's corner thence by his line North 34 poles to a post oak near the head of a drian Samuel Harris's corner thence by his line East 240 poles to a red oak Saplin his corner runing thence North to two pines his corner thence by his line 48 poles to two red oaks his corner thence his line 30 poles to a red oak in John Walkers line thence by his line East to a corner red oak thence a direct line to Lewis Binnetts line to a white oak & Sarsapas thence by his line to Edmund Freemans corner thence by his line to his corner pine thence to & along William Ogilvies line to the Begining To have hold ...
