This Indenture made the thirtieth day of October in the year of our Lord one Thousand Seven Hundred And Sixty Five, and in the sixth year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the third of great Britain, France and Ireland King defender of the Faith. Between Richard Briggs of the County of Granville in the Province of North Carolina planter, of the one part and Phillip Pryor of the said County of the other part,

Witnesseth, that for and in Consideration of the sum of Twenty Five pounds pro. Money to the said Richard Briggs in hand paid by the said Phillip Pryor ... hath given ... all that piece and parcell of Land Situate lying and being in the county of Granville aforesaid lying on Conway branch Buted and Bounded as Follows (To wit)

Begining at a black oak then runing along Theo Rode East to Person line then along Persons line South to an oak then West to Hills line then North to Hills Corner then West along Hils line to Philip Pryors Corner then North to the first Station Containing Two Hundred acres of Land be the same more or less:

To have and to hold ... In Witness whereof the said Richard Briggs hath hereunto set his hand and seal the day and year first above Written.
