This Indenture made this fourteenth day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand Seven hundred and Sixty five and in the fifth year of the reign of our Sovereign Lord George the third of Great Britain France and Ireland King defender of the faith Between Thomas Person Esqr. of the one part and Philip Pryor of the other part both in the province of North Carolina and in the County of Granville. Witnesseth that for and in Consideration of the sum of Twenty pounds proclamation money to the said Thomas Person Esqr. in hand paid by the said Philip Pryor ... hath given ... all that piece and parcell of land Situate lying and being in the County of Granville aforesaid boundeth as follows (to wit) Begining at a Hickory in John Hills Corner thence East two hundred and twenty six pole to a white oak thence North one hundred and forty pole to a Hickory thence West one hundred and eighty four pole to a red thence North two hundred and ten pole to a red oak thence west forty two pole to a red Oak thence South three hundred and fifty pole to the first Station including by estimation two hundred & fifty Acres be the same more or less.
