This Indenture made the fifteenth day of June in the year of our lord one thousand seven hundred and sixty two and in the second Year of the Reign of our Soverig lord george the third of Great Braitain france & Ireland king defender of the faith Between Richard Briggs of the Cunty of Granville in the province of North Carolina planter of the one part and Phillip Pryor of the sd. County of the other part

witnesseth that for and in Consideration of the sum of Tenn pounds lawfull money of great britain to the said Richard Briggs in hand paid by the said Philip Pryor ... hath given ... all that piece and parcell of land Situate lying and being in the County of Granville aforesaid lying on Conaway branch Butted and bound as follows to wit,

Begining at a hickory at Persons Corner Runing East along Philip Pryors line one hundred and sixteen pole to a black Oak thence South one hundred and forty pole to a stake on the side of A meadow in Hills line thence by his line west one hundred and sixteen pole to a white oak thence by Persons line North one hundred and forty pole to the Begining Containing one hundred Acres of land be the same more or less.
