This Indenture made the first day of March in the XXXth year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the Second by the Grace of God of England Scotland France & Ireland King &c. and in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred & fifty seven Between patrick Lashley of the County of Granville in the province of North Carolina plater of the one part and Phillip Pryor Esqr. of the said County of the other part.

Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the Sum of forty pounds lawful money of Great Britain to the said Patrick Lashly in hand paid by the said Phillip Pryor ... Have Granted ... unto the said Phillip Pryor his heirs & Assigns for ever all that piece & parcel of land scituate lying & being in the parish of St. Johns & County of Granville in the province of North Carolina afsd. & lying on the head of Bearskin Creek being the plantation where William Manus formerly lived and now in the occupation of the said Phillip Pryor containing three hundred & twenty acres of land bounded by lines of mark'd trees as in the deed from the right honble John Earl Granville to the sd. Patrick Lashly will appear & by a line of mark'd trees the devision line between the sd. Phillip Pryor & John Thomas ... To have and to hold ... In Witness whereof the said Patrick Lashly hath hereunto set his hand and seal the day & year first above written.

Patric Lashly acknowledged this deed to be his act & deed and on Motion it was ordered to be Registerd.
