This Indenture made this Eighteenth day of March In the thirteenth Year of the Reign of our sovereign Lord George the Second by the Grace of God of Great Brittan France & Ireland King Defencer of the Faith 7c. Annegr, Dom MDCCXLII Between Phillip Pryor of the Parrish of St. Martins in Hanover County and Ann his Wife of the one part and William Berry of the other part.

Witnesseth that that the said Phillip Pryor and Ann his Wife for and in Consideration of the Sum of Ten pound Currt. ... Have Given ... One Tract or parcell of Land Scituate lying and being in the county of Amelia aforesaid adjoining Bollings Shiveats and Ellis's lines and bounded as followeth to Wit. ... being part of the said quantity of Three hundred and Eighty six acres of Land ... To have hold ... In Witness whereof the parties to these presents have Interchaingabley set their hands and Seal the day & year first above written.

At a Court held for Amelia County the 18th day of March 1742 Philip Pryor presented and acknowledged this the Deed with livery and seisin endorsed unto William Berry and ordered to be recorded Ann the Wife of the said Philip being first privately examined and Voluntarily assenting thereto relinquished her right of Dower in the Land conveyed by the said Deed.
