Know all men by these presents that we Isaac Anderson, Mary Anderson, A. B. Weir, Elizabeth Weir, Newton Armstrong, Martha Armstrong, formerly Elizabeth Anderson, and Mary Anderson of the State of Tennessee & McMinn County, have made constituted and appointed and by these presents do make constitute & appoint and in our places and steads pick and depute William W. Anderson of the State of Tennessee and County McMinn our true and lawful Attorney for us and in our names places and stead to grant bargain and sell all that Utissuage (viz) a certain tract of land lying in the State of Virginia and county Rockbridge on the waters of north river bounded east by the land of Daniel Rhea & Robt. Rhea, on the south by the land formerly belonging to William Walker and being a part of the tract of land owned by Robert Anderson dec'd on which there is a log house with the appurtenances and all our estates rights and interests thereon unto such person or persons and for such price or prices as he shall think proper ... In witness whereof we have hereunto set our hands and seals the 12th of September one thousand eight hundred and thirty three.

Witness Adolphus H. Gamble, James H. Bridges

State of Tennessee McMinn County } Personally appeared before me Archabald Turk Clerk of the County Court for McMinn County and State aforesaid Adolphus H. Gamble & James H. Bridges the two subscribing witnesses to the foregoing Power of Attorney who being sworn depose and say that they are acquainted with the above named Isac Anderson Mary W. Anderson, A. B. Weir, Elizabeth Weir, Nelson Armstrong, Martha Armstrong the grantors and they acknowledged the same in their presence to be their act and deed for the purposes therin contained on the day it bears date. Given under my hand and seal of office at office in Athens the 21st day of Sept. 1833.
