This Indenture made this eighteenth day of July one thousand eight hundred and thirty nine by and between John B Huson of Roane County Solomon Stow of McMinn County Andrew Allen and William M Huson of Monroe County all of the State of Tennessee of the one part and Eliza Emeline McKenzie Jerome B McKenzie Ransome L McKenzie Winfield A McKenzie Mary Jane McKenzie William H McKenzie Minor children of Saml A & Elizabeth McKenzie of the County of Monrow and State aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth that the said John B Huson Solomon Stow Andrew Allen and William M Huson for and in consideration of the natural love and affection which we bear towards the said Eliza Jerome Ransom Winfield Mary Jane and William H McKenzie our neices and nephews We give grant and Confirm unto the said Neices & nephews their heirs &c. a certain negro girl named patsey now in the possession of Samuel A McKenzie. To have and to hold said negro girl patsey as belonging to the above named children of Samuel A & Elizabeth McKenzie their heirs &c forever And the said John Solomon Andrew & William for themselves their heirs &c the said negro girl against themselves their heirs &c and all and every person whatsoever will warrant and forever defend by these presents and the understanding and our desire is that the said Girl remain in the care and service of our Loving sister Elizabeth McKenzie formerly Elizabeth Huson Until the said Wm H McKenzie should arrive at the age of twenty one years then to be equally divided her and her increase amongst the above mentioned children. In Witness whereof we have hereunto set our hands & seals this day and year above written.
