The State of Texas County of Cass } Know all men by these presents that I Mary Mitchell of the County & State aforesaid for and in consideration of the sum of Eighteen Hundred and fifty (1850) Dollars to me in hand paid by C D Jones and F M Echols also of said County and State the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged have this day barganed sold released and conveyed and do by these presents bargain sell and release unto the said James & Echols a certain Tract or parcel of land described as follows to wit: Situated in said County of Cass on the waters of Fraziors Bayou & founded on Patent No. 724 Known & designated by virtue of Bounty land Warrant No. 966, paid by James S. Gillett adjutant General on the 28th day of November 1851 & transfered to M M Mitchell for three Hundred & Twenty acres (320) and bounded as follows. Beginning at a Post oak 100 vs. W. of the N West corner of George Gordens 640 acre survey which a post oak bears N. 60o E 14 vs. a black oak bears N. 15o E 31 vs. Thence N. at 1344 Vs a sweet Gum from which a post oak bears N. 5 E. 14 vs.. Thence East at 1344 Vs. a stake from which a pine bears N. 85 W. 9 vs. a Black Gum bears S. 39. W. 13 vs. Thence South at 1344 vs. a stake on the N. boundary of Said Gordens survey from which a pine bears N. 35 W. 10 vs. a black oak bears N. 20 W. 15 vs. Thence West with said N boundary at 1344 vs. the place of Beginning bearing marker MMM. The same being that tract of land deeded to me the said Mary Mitchell by M M Mitchell on the 12th day of June 1852. and which deed is and was duly recorded in the County Clerks office of said County on the 1st day of July AD 1853. in Register Record Book G. pages 505 & 506. to have and to hold unto the said C. D. Jones and F. M. Echols their Heirs and assigns free from me the said Mary Mitchell my heirs and assigns forever and I the said Mary Mitchell as ----- and by these presents warrant and will forever defend the right title and claim to the afore described land & premises unto the said James & Echols free from the lawful claims or claims of any and all persons whomsoever. D. Jones & F. M. The State of Texas County of Cass } Personally appeared before the undersigned authority Mary Mitchell wife of M M Mitchell and whose name appears to the annexed deed of Conveyance to C D Jones & F M Echols who being examined by me separate & apart from her said Husband and having said Deed fully explained to her she the said Mary acknowledged that She signed sealed and delivered the same of her own free will and accord and declared that she wished not to retract it.     To certify which witness my hand and seal of office at office in the Town of Linden this 11 day of April AD 1858        Thos.
