The State of Texas County of Rusk } Know all men by these presents that I Jane Lacy of the county and State aforesaid for and in consideration of the Sum of two hundred and Sixty five dollars in gold coin to me in hand paid by James Stidham of the county of Titus and State aforesaid the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged and in compliance with a title Bond executed to him January 25th 1873 have granted bargained Sold and conveyed and do by these presents grant bargain Sell and conveyed and do by these presents grant bargain Sell and convey unto the Said James Stidham on hundred and twenty five acres of land lying and Situated on the Eastern Boundry of Said county of Titus being a portion of the Enoch Pelton Survey of five hundred and one and one half acres of land patented to James Baily assignee Beginning on the North line of the Wm B Lewis tract of 200 acres off of Said Pelton Survey at a Stake from which a hickory 4 in diam br N 67 W 52 vars a Bk Jack 5 in Diam brs N 39 E 12 vars both mk X Thence North along the East line of William B Womack's tract of 177 1/2 acres off of Said Pelton Survey 1042 33/100 vars to a Stake from which a red oak 5 in Diam has S 10 E 6 vars a Sweetgum 3 in Diam brs S 14 W 3 1/2 vars both marked X Thence East along the South line of the once Jacob Duels on Cox land 670 4/10 vars to a 14 in hickory from which a Blk Jack 16 in Diam brs N 45 W 5 vars mkd X Thence South along the county line on West line of James Bradfield's land to a point in the Marsh 20 vars West of which Stands a Stake from which a redoak 4 in diam brs N 80 W 3 1/2 vars another red oak 2 1/2 Diam brs N 41 W 2 vars both mkd X Thence West along the North line of Wm B Lewis land 67 4/10 vars to the place of Beginning together with all and Singular the rights members heredaments and appurtenances unto the Same belonging or in anywise incident or appertaining to have and to hold the Same unto him the Said James Stidham and his heirs and assigns forever and I the Said Jane Lacy do hereby bind my Self my heirs executors and administrators to warrant and forever defend the right and title to the before mentioned and described land unto him the Said James Stidham his heirs and assigns forever from the claim or claims of any and all persons whomsoever lawfully claiming or to claim the Same or any part thereof Witness my hand and Seal using Scrool for seal this the 5th day of February AD 1874.
