The State of Texas County of Morris } Know all men by these presents that I, J. E. Conly of the County of Morris, State of Texas, for and in consideration of the sum of fifty Dollars to me in hand paid by James Stidham and the further consideration of the following defered payments, to wit: One note for the sum of $150.00 due Nov. 1st 1899. One note for the sum of $133.33 1/3 Due Nov. 1st 1900. And one note for the sum of $133.33 1/3 Due Nov. 1st 1902. All of which bears interest from the date of this instrument at the rate of 10% per annum have granted, Sold and conveyed, and by these presents do grant Sell and convey unto the said James Stidham and E. L. J. Stidham of the County of Morris, State of Texas. All that certain tract or parcel of land situated in Morris County Texas. Being a part of the Enoch Felton Survey and described as follows to wit. Known as the homestead of W. B. Lewis deceased. Begining at the S. E. corner of said Survey from which a hickory 5 inches in Diameter N. 88.0 E. 2 1/2 Vrs. a black Jack 6 inches in Diameter brs. N. 46.0 E. 13 Brs. both marked X. Thence E. along the N. line of Samuel Word headright Survey 837 1/2 Vrs. to a Stake from which a Black Jack 13 inches in Diameter brs. S. 78.0 E. 5 1/2 Vrs. a pine 18 inches in Diameter brs. N. 11.0 E. 5 Brs. both marked X. Thence N. along the County line at W. line of James Bradfield survey 674 7/10 Vrs. to a point in the marsh a readoak 4 inches in Diameter brs. N. 80.0 W. 3 1/2 Vrs. another readoak 2 1/2 inches in diameter brs. N. 40.0 W. 2 Brs. both marked X. Thence West along the S. line of land belonging to James Stidham and W. B. Womack 837 1/2 Vrs. to a stake from which a black Jack 12 inches in Diameter brs. N. 60.0 W. 6 Vrs. both marked X. Thence S. along the E. line of David Lewis land 674 7/10 Vrs. out of the S. E. Corner of the Enoch Felton Survey. To have and to hold the above described premises together with all and singular the rights and appurtenances thereto in anywise belonging unto the said James Stidham and E. L. J. Stidham heirs and assigns forever; and I do hereby bind my heirs, Executors and administrators to Warrant and forever Defend all and singular the said premises unto the said James Stidham his heirs and assigns against evry person whomsoever lawfully claiming or to claim the same or any part thereof. Witness my hand at Daingerfield this 8th day of February A. D. 1899.
