John Hill Senior To John Hill Junior } Deed
This Indenture made this nineteenth day of february in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and Ninety five and in the Nineteenth year of the Independance of America between John Hill senior of the State of south Carolina and Edgefield County of the one part and John Hill Junior of the State and County aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth That the said Jhn Hill senr. for and in consideration of the sum of Ten pounds to him in hand paid at and before the sealing and Delivering of these presents the Receipt thereof is hereby acknowledged and him the sd. John Hill senr. hath given granted bargained sold Eliend feofed Released and confirmd & by these presents doth give grant Bargain sell Elline feoff Releas & confirm unto the sd. Jhn Hill Junr. his heirs & his heirs heirs

one Certain peace or parsel of Land Situate lying and being in Ninety six district lying on Mountain Creek water of turkey Creek Containing on hundred & Ninety six acres of Land granted to the sd. John Hill senr. by his Excellency William Moultree Eszr. granted and sealed the fourth day of March one thousand seven hundred and Eighty five and in the Tenth year of Americas Independance Begining at a white oake and Runing to a white oake Corner thence NE 63o 16 chains to a pine Corner thence N5 W35 Chains to a red oake Corner Thence S.W. 74"45 Chains to a pine Corner thence S5o E 50 Chains to a Stake Corner thence N 70 E 32 Chain to the begining Corner as will more fully appear by a plat annexed to the original grant & Recorded in the Secretarys office of the said State Reference being had there to more fully and at large will appear

Together will all houses gardens and half the orchard (the other half Excepted and the ground whereon at Hand) During my life and no longer Edifices woods & under woods timber & timber trees Medows ponds lakes waters & water Courses paths passagways priveledges profits hereditaments Rites Members and apertanances thereunto belonging & the Reversion & Reversions Remainder and Remainders Rents & profits thereof & every part and parcel thereof and all the Estate Right title profit interest Claim and Demand Whatsoever the sd. John Hill senr. his heirs and assigns forever unto the only proper use and behoof of him the said John Hill Junr. his heirs and his heirs heirs forever. To have and to hold the said granted Land and premises from all former sails gifts grants Mortgages Rights & Dowers or any other incumbrances whatsoever and the said John Hill senior for himself his heirs and assigns doth Covenant & agree to and with the Sd. John Hill Junr. his heirs and his heirs heirs that he and they Shall & may at all times hereafter hold and occupy & posses the above granted land (Except half the orchard herein before mentioned) & premises without the Least Molestation or hindrance of him the said John Hill Senr. his heirs Executors administrators or assigns or any other person or persons claiming in by or under him them or either of them and further the said John Hill Senior & his heirs the sd. granted Land & premises unto the said John Hill Junior and his heirs Shall and will Warrant and by these presents forever defend unto the said John Hill Junior his heirs and his heirs heirs in Witness Whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal the day and year first above Written

South Carolina Edgefield County } Personally appeared John Hunter before me Richard Tull one of the Justices of the Peace for the said County & after being duly Sworn on his oath saith that he was present and saw the within named John Hill senr. sign seal and Deliver the within Deed or Instrument of Writing for the purposes therein mentioned and the Receipt hereon Indorsed and that he the Deponant & M. Hamilton & John Harris were witnesses to the due Execution thereof Sworn to the 12th March 1796 Before me R. Tull J.P. (Recorded 12th March 1796
