In the Matter of the Application of Joseph Kieliszek to be admitted to become a Citizen of the United States.

At a Regular Term of said Court begun and held at the Court House in the City of Kenosha, in Kenosha County, on the 11 day of June, 1906, and on the 38 day of said Term, to-wit, on July 18, 1906
Present, Honorable E B Belden, Judge, Presiding.

 The Petition of Joseph Kieliszek respectfully states to the Court that said petitioner is an alien above the age of twenty-one years; that he has resided within and under the jurisdiction of the United States for five years last past, and within the State of Wisconsin for one year last past; that during all of that time he has behaved as a man of good moral character, attached to the principles of the Constitution of the United States, and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the same; that heretofore and on the 2nd day of April, 1894, he declared on oath before the Clerk of the mucipal Court of the County of Milwaukee and State of Wisconsin, that it was his bona fide intention to become a citizen of the United States and to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to every foreign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereignty whatever and particularly to The Czar of Russia, of which he was at said time and still remains a citizen or subject; that he has never borne any hereditary title or been of any of the orders of nobility of the country from which he came or of which he has been a subject. And petitioner further states that he does not disbelieve in and is not opposed to all organized government, that he is not a member of nor affiliated with any organization entertaining and teaching disbelief in or opposition to all organized government, that he does not advocate nor teach the duty, necessity, or propriety of the unlawful assaulting or killing of any officer or officers, either of specific individuals or of officers generally, of the Government of the United States or of any other organized govertnment, because of his or their official character, and that he has not violated any of the provisions of an act of the Congress of the United States, entitled "An Act to Regulate the Immigration of Aliens into the United States," approved March 3d, 1903. Your Petitioner therefore prays that he be admitted to become a citizen of the United States.

State of Wisconsin, Kenosha County. } ss. Joseph, being duly sworn, deposes and says, that he has heard read the foregoing petition and knows the contents thereof, and that the facts therein stated are true.

In the above entitled matter Jos Wedelstadt and Walter Nenbuski being severally duly sworn as witnesses, each for himself doth depose and say, that he is a citizen of the United States; that he has been well acquainted with the above named Joseph Kieliszek for the past five years; that the said Joseph Kieliszek has resided within and under the jurisdiction of the United States for five years last past and within the State of Wisconsin for one year last past, and has during all that time behaved as a man of good moral character, attached to the principles of the Consitution of the United States and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the same; that Joseph Kieliszek the said petitioner does not disbelieve in and is not opposed to all organized government, and is not a member of nor affiliated with any organization entertaining and teaching disbelief in or opposition to all organized government, that he does not advocate nor teach the duty, necessity or propriety of the unlawful assaulting or killing of any officer or officers, either of specific individuals or of officers generally, of the Government of the United States or of any other organized government, because of his or their official character, and that he has not violated any of the provisions of an act of the Congress of the United States, entitled "An Act to Regulate the Immigration of Aliens into the United States," approved March 3d, 1903.

I, Joseph Kieliszek do on my solemn oath declare that I will support the Constitution of the United States and that I do absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to every foreign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to The Czar of Russia of which I was before a subject.  And I do further solemnly swear that I never have borne any hereditary title or been of any of the orders of nobility of the country from which I came, or of which I have been a subject, and that I have resided within the United States for five years last past and for one year last past within the State of Wisconsin, that I do not disbelieve in and am not opposed to all organized government, that I am not a member of and am not affiliated with any organization entertaining and teaching disbelief in or opposition to all organized government, that I do not advocate nor teach the duty, necessity or propriety of the unlawful assaulting or killing of any officer or officers, either of specific individuals or of officers generally of the Government of the United States, or of any other organized government, because of his or their official character, and that I have not violated any of the provisions of an act of the Congress of the United States, entitled "An Act to Regulate the Immigration of Aliens into the United States," approved March 3d, 1903.

 The application of Joseph Kieliszek to be admitted to become a citizen of the United States, having come on to be heard before the Court at the time and place above mentioned, upon the foregoing petition, and the affidavits of said applicant and of Jos Wedelstadt and Walter Nenbuski his witnesses, which affidavits, reciting and affirming the truth of every material fact requisite for naturalization, have been duly recorded, from which affidavits and from evidence taken in Open Court it has been proven to the satisfaction of the Court that the said Joseph Kieliszek has resided within and under the jurisdiction of the United States for five years last past, and within the State of Wisconsin for one year last past, that he has during all that time behaved as a man of good moral character, attached to the principles of the Consitution of the United States and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the same, that he does not disbelieve in and is not opposed to all organized government, and is not a member of nor affiliated with any organization entertaining and teaching disbelief in or opposition to all organized government, that he does not advocate nor teach the duty, necessity or propriety of the unlawful assaulting or killing of any officer or officers, either of specific individuals or of officers generally, of the Government of the United States or of any other organized government, because of his or their official character, and that he has not violated any of the provisions of an act of the Congress of the United States, entitled "An Act to Regulate the Immigration of Aliens into the United States," approved March 3d, 1903.

 And upon like evidence it having been proven to the satisfaction of the Court that the said Joseph Kieliszek did on the 2nd day of April, A.D. 1894, before the Clerk of the mucipal Court of the County of Milwaukee and State of Wisconsin make such declaration of his intention to become a citizen of the United States and to renounce all other allegiance and fidelity as is required by the laws of the United States; and he now here in Open Court, having taken and subscribed the oath required by law to support the Constitution of the United States, and to renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to every foreign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereignty whatever, and particularly all allegiance which he may owe to The Czar of Russia whereof he was heretofore a subject,

 It is now Considered, Ofdered and Adjudged by the Court that the said Joseph Kieliszek be, and he is hereby admitted to be a Citizen of the United States. E B Belden Judge.
