Thomas Shipp & Jedediah Moore Marriage Contract
       Recorded Jan. 1807

Georgia Columbia County } To all people unto whom these presents shall Come or may Concern --
   I Thomas Shipp of the County and State aforesaid Sendeth Greeting. Whereas a Matrimonial Contract of Marriage has taken place between Jedediah Moore and myself and it Appearing that the end of the Institution is not fully Complied With and We being mutually satisfied and agreed to dissolve the Contract aforesaid We do agree by these presents On the following terms and articles (Viz)

for the many good terms and services rendered by the aforesaid Jedediah to me I Will and do by these presents give and make over to said Jedediah all that tract or parcell of land Whereon the said Jedediah now lives in fee simple unto her and her heirs and assigns forever Containing by estimation One hundred acres be the same more or less adjoining James Wright Richd Shipp and Absolem Farrar and Further be it Known that this instrument of writing shall answer all the purposes of a deed in fee simple from me to said Jedediah

and I do further agree by these presents to give to the said Jedediah three notes of hand that I never have recd Value for (viz) one on Charles Pope William Loud Surety one on John Espey two notes on Wiley Espey, on one piece of paper the amt. of the aforesaid notes is one hundred and forty five dollars and I do by these presents endorse and make over to the said Jedediah the above mentioned notes to her only use.

and I also give the aforesaid Jedediah four beds and furniture as well as rest of household furniture that is in dwelling house wherein the said Jedediah now lives in and possesses.

In Testimony Whereof Each of us have hereunto set our hands and seals this 29th day of October 1802.
