To all to whom these presents shall come greeting. Know ye that we for and in consideration of the sum of fifty shillings for every hundred Acres hereby granted paid into our treasury by Joseph Wallace have given and granted and by these presents do give and grant unto the sd. Joseph Wallace

a tract of Land containing two hundred and Eighty acres lying and being in our County of Sullivan the North side of Holston Beginning at a B. oake on John Coxes line thence North forty nine Degrees East one hundred and forty two pearches to a spanish oak thence North forty two Degrees East forty four pearches to a forked poplar on said Coxes line thence on Roger Tops line North thirty one Degrees West thirty Eight poles to a Black oak on a hye ridge thence on sd. ridge North forty five Degrees East one hundred and thirty two poles to Abraham McClenings Corner at a Chesnut thence on McClinings line North seventy five degrees west one hundred and sixty poles to a popler white oak and Elm thence south sixty one Degrees west thirty six to two white oaks and hickory thence on Abraham Crosses line south thirty four degrees East thirty Eight perches to a popler thence south forty two degrees West one hundred perches to a popler thence south forty two degrees West one hundred and twenty three perches to a forked spanish oak thence south twenty three west forty four poles to a Blak oake thence south fifty degrees west one hundred & four poles to two black oaks thence south seventy two degrees East one hundred and forty eight poles to the Begining as by the plat hearunto annexed doth appear
