John Brooks Moses Brooks 200 acres in Knox County.
This Indenture made this fifteenth day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred ninety four between John Brooks of the one part & Moses Brooks of the other both of the county of Knox and territory of the United States of America south of the river Ohio. Witnesseth that the said John Brooks for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred dollars to him in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath and by these presents doth grant bargain sell alien enfeoff and confirm unto the said Moses Brooks his heirs and assigns forever

a certain tract or parcel of land containing two hundred acres be the same more or less lying and being in the county of Knox on the north side of Holsten river bounded as follows (viz) Beginning at a stake on the ----- line of a three hundred acre survey conveyed to sd. John Brooks by ----- Donalson ... the division line between said Moses Brooks and John Brooks to a stake on the bank of the river thence up the meanders of sd. river to a white oak corner to McMillan two hundred acre survey then north eight west along the division line between sd. Moses Brooks and McMillan two hundred and fifty six poles to a stake then in a direct line or course to the beginning

State of Tennessee Knox County Circuit Court February Term 1819.
The execution of this deed was proved in open court by the oath of William Kerr who also made oath that Joseph Brooks the other witness to this deed is dead whereupon it was admitted to record. Let it be registered upon payment of the state tax.
 Given under my hand and private seal having no seal of office, at office February 11, 1819.
