Book B Page 23. Robert Gamble To Joseph Brooks. 200 Acres North Side of Holston. This Indenture made  in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety five Robert Gamble of the county of Knox and Territory of the United States of America south of Ohio of the one part and Joseph Brooks of the county and Territory aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth that the said Robert Gamble for and in consideration of the sum of fifty pounds to him in hand paid by the said Joseph Brooks the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged the said Robert Gamble hath and by these presents doth grant bargain sell alien enfeoff and confirm unto the said Joseph Brooks his heirs and assigns forever a certain messuage or Tenement situate and lying in the county of Knox on the north side of Holston commencing at a stake on the north east end of the survey then north forty west two hundred and fifty poles to a stake then south fifty six west one hundred and sixty five poles to a stake then south forty east one hundred and twenty poles to a stake then north fifty eight east seventy poles to a stake then south forty east one hundred and twenty two poles to a stake then with said line to the Beginning containing two hundred acres of land and also all ...
