State of Tennessee Hardiman County. By virtue of Entry No. 1523 dated the 11th sept 1849 made in pursuance of the 4th section of an act passed the 2nd Nov. 1847 Chapter 20 & by virtue of the fees in hand paid I have awarded to William Simpson this plat & certificate of svy. to wit: I have seized for William Simpson 154 Acres of Land situate in the County aforesaid in Range 1 & section 2 of the 9th surveyors District on the waters of Big Hatchie River.

Beginning at a stake with a chestnut & a Poplar pointers a north west corner of Entry No. 1419 for 200 Acres made in the name of Daniel Burnett on the East boundary line of Entry 1219 for 200 Acres made in the name of W. Brumblow & runs north with said line 30 poles to a dogwood with a Hickory & Plumb pointers on the south boundary line of Entry No. 502 for 200 Acres Thence East 100 poles to a Blk oak with a Blk gum & Blk oak pointers a south East corner of the same. Thence north with the East boundary line 49 poles to an Ash with a Blk oak & 2 Elm pointers a corner of the same. Thence East 102 poles to a Hicory with a Blk oak & white oak pointers a south East corner of the same. Thence north with the East boundary line 204 poles to a Blk oak with a Blk oak and Hickory pointers on the south boundary line of Entry No. 1440 for 195 Acres made in the name of D. Patrs Heirs. Thence East with the same 41 poles to a stake with a Dogwood Hickory and white oak pointers on the County line. Thence south with the same 422 poles to a stake with a Dogwood white oak & Blk oak pointers on the north boundary line of said Entry No. 1219 for 200 Acres. Thence west with the same 15 poles to a Blk oak the south East corner of said Entry No. 1419 for 200 Acres. Thence south with the East boundary line 139 poles to a Dogwood with a white oak & 2 Hickory pointers the North East corner of the same. Thence west with the north boundary line 228 poles to the beginning.
