York County } January Court 1787
A Deed of Sale from Joseph McKenzie and Rebecca his wife to Daniel Murphey for 30 Acres of Land was acknowledged in open Court and Ordered to be Recorded and it is Recorded in form following, that is to say,
 To all to whom these presents shall come Greeting. Know Ye that I Joseph McKenzie and Rebeccah his wife of York County State of South Carolina for divers good causes & considerations we thereunto moving have remised released and for ever Quit claimed and by these presents do remise release and for ever quit claim unto Daniel Murphey of the aforesaid County and State all that Messuage or Tenement Piece or parcel of Land, Situate in the aforesaid County and State on the Camp branch of Beaver dam a branch of Crowders Creek,

Beginning at a White Oak Jas. Campbels line Runs So. 73 Wt. 50 to a Black Oak thence No. 14 Et. 19 to a Pine thence So. 55 Et. 21 to a Hickory thence No. 43 Et. 20 to a Hickory Saplin thence No. 31 Wt. 18 to a Black Oak thence Et. 12,50 to a Pine Bradnors Land thence So. 21 to a Hickory Saplin formerly mentioned, thence to the beginning, containing by computation thirty acres be the same more or less being part of a Tract of Land Granted by Patent unto the said Joseph McKenzie bearing date sixth of November 1786. By his Excellency William Moultrie Recorded in Grant Book OOOO Page 249.

To have and to hold ... In Witness whereof we the said Joseph McKenzie and Rebecca have hereunto set our Hands and Seals this second day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand Seven hundred and Eighty seven, and in the Eleventh year of the Independence of the united States of America.
