Patrick Kerrigan To David Jurnigan } This Indenture made this 28th day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred & sixty four between Patrick Kerrigin of the County of Johnston & province of No. Carolina of the one part & David Jurnigan of the aforesaid county & Province of the other part. Witnesseth that the said Patrick Kerrigan for & in Consideration of the sum of Twelve Pounds procln. money to him in hand paid at & before the Ensealing & Delivery hereof the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged & the said Patrick Kerrigan the said David Jurnigan doth acquitt & Discharge hath granted, Bargained, sold, Released, & confirmed, & by these presents doth fully, freely, absolutely, Grant, bargain, sell, Release, & Confirm unto the said David Jurnigan his heirs & assigns forever a Tract of Land lying & being in the aforesaid County & Province on the head of a branch of Mill Creek known by the name of the snirey branch & bounded as followeth Beginning at a Blaze of pine on the west side of said branch running thence up the said branch with a straight line to a Brazed pine standing in the head of a small branch below the place where Edmd. Beard formerly taught scool thence with a line of blaz'd trees to a pine standing in the said Kerigan line thence along the said line So. 25 Et. to the said Kerigan's Corner thence So. 37 Wt. along the said Kerigan line 236 po. to a pine being the said Nenigans Corner thence with a Direct line to the first station Containing one hundred acres more or less being the upper part of a Tract of Land Granted to the said Kerigan by his Majesties pattent bearing Date the 22nd day of Octr. 1762.
