Michael King to Moses Smith.
North Carolina. To all to whom these presents Shall come, I Michael King of Duplin County Planter Sendeth Greeting. Know Ye that I the said Michael King for and in consideration of the sum of Sixteen Pounds Proclamation money to me in hand paid By Moses Smith of Granville County Planter Have Remised Released and allocated of and for my Heirs forever Quit claimed unto the said Moses Smith ...

a Certain Messuage Plantation or tract of land Containing By Estimation One Hundred and Fifty Acres Of land be the same more or less being part of a larger Tract or parcell of land granted to Michael King by Patent bearing date the Twenty ninth day of March in the Year of Our Lord One thousand Seven Hundred and Fifty three Situate lying and being in Duplin County at a Place called the Six Runs swamp which said One Hundred And fifty acres of land begins at a white Oak On the Six Runs swamp in Duplin County aforesaid Running North Eight Degrees East to a maple thence north up the Branch to a White Oak thence North Seventeen Degrees West to a Black Oak thence south seventy Degrees West to the Swamp thence down the Swamp to the first Station

and of and in all woods ... In Witness Whereof I the said Michael King have hereunto Set my hand and seal this 12th day of October in the year of Our lord One thousand Seven hundred and fifty Seven 1757.

The within Deed of One Hundred and Fifty acres of land was acknowledged in Open Court By Michael King to Moses Smith And Ordered to Be Registered. Witness John Dickson Clerk of Our said Court this 13th day of April in the xxx year of Our Reign Anno domini One thousand Seven Hundred and fifty eight 1758.  John Dickson C. C.
