Michael King Deed to Edward Bird North Carolina. To all men to whom these presents shall come. Know Ye that I Michael King of Duplin County Planter Send Greeting. Know Ye the said Michael King for and in consideration of the sum of Twenty Pounds proclamation money to me in hand Paid By the said Edward Bird of the County aforesaid planter have Bargained ... to the said Edward Byrd ... A Certain messuage Plantation or tract of land Containing By Estimation Two Hundred acres of Land be the same more or less being part of a large tract or Parcel of land granted to me the said Michael King By Patent Bearing Date March 29 in the Year of Our lord One thousand Seven Hundred and Fifty three 1753 Situate lying and Being in Duplin County it Being on a branch that makes out of the North East side of the six Runs swamp it being the land where the said Edward Byrd now lives which said Two hundred Acres Beginning at a pine a Corner tree of James Mercys Running thence along the said Mercys line to the Branch thence up the Branch to a Chesnutt Oak a Corner tree of George Bells line thence along the said Bells line to the Suck line, from thence to the first station.
