This Indenture made this Sixth day of December in the year of our lord one Thousand eight hundred between Daniel Lane of the county of Craven and State of North Carolina Planter of the one part and Samuel Lamberth of the county and State aforesaid Planter of the other part. Witnesseth that I the said Daniel Lane for and in consideration of the sum of twenty five pounds Current Money ... have granted ... unto the said Samuel Lamberth his heirs and assigns a certain tract or parcel of land lying and being in Craven County on the south side of Neuse River

beginning at a pine near the Horse pen branch, runs north five east Sixty pole to a persimmon, then north thirty five west eighty pole to pine in William M. Herritages line, then west one hundred and two pole to a stake in a line patent ----- West, then along his line north seventy six west ninety eight poles to William Doughertys line, then with line south twenty eight west eighty pole to a pine from there the beginning containing one hundred and fifty acres.

To have and to hold ... In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and year above written.

State of North Carolina Craven County Court } September Term 1801.
Then was the above Deed proved in open Court by the oath of Stephen Heath one of the Subscribing Witnesses thereto and ordered to be registered.  Attest Saml. Chapman C.C.

This Indenture made the Sixth day of December in the year of our Lord Eighteen Hundred between George Lane of Craven County and State of North Carolina of the one part and Samuel Lamberth of the same County and State of the other part. Witnesseth that I the said George Lane have bargained and sold unto the said Samuel Lamberth for one hundred and fifty pounds in hand paid before the sealing and delivering of these presents, all that piece or tract of land on the South side of Neuse River and Joining Loftens Land

beginning at a pine at the head of the Mill branch & runs North forty nine degrees West thirty two poles to a small pine William Heaths corner of Cox's patent then North seventy six degrees West with Heath's line two hundred and twenty poles to a pine, Heath's corner in Loften's line Then South thirty degrees East with Loftens line forty one poles to a pine in a pond Loftens corner, then with said Loftens line west two hundred and eighty six poles to a pine then south one hundred and sixty poles, and with a direct line to the beginning containing three hundred Acres

to have and to hold ... In Witness whereof I have set my hand and affixed my seal the day and date first above Written.
