Priscilla Wendt Exchanges Vows With Dr. A. A. Gottlieb
Grace Lutheran Church was the scene Saturday of the marriage of Miss Priscilla Ann Wendt and Dr. Anthony Adams Gottlieb, St. Louis Mo. The Rev. Louis Ulrich officiated at the 2:30 p.m. ceremony.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Peter D. Wendt, 7520 Lincoln Drive, and Mr. and Mrs. Morris Gottlieb, Boston, Mass.
The bridegroom is a graduate of the University of Chicago Medical School and the bride, a registered nurse, attended the School of Nursing at St. Luke's Hospital, Racine. Both are employed at Barnes Hospital, St. Louis.
The bride wore a gown of ivory satin styled with princess lines. Her fitted bodice featured three-quarter length sleeves bound in Venetian lace and her off the shoulder scoop neckline was accented with re-embroidered lace. The bouffant skirt swept into a full cathedral train.
Her butterfly, chapel length veil was held with orange blossoms.
Mrs. Lee Budahl, Madison, was matron of honor and Mrs. William Clayton, Dolton, Ill., was bridesmatron.
The bridal attendants wore cocktail length dresses of gold satin fashioned in the dome silhouette. Their headpieces were of gold nylon net over large gold ribbon bows. The matron of honor carried a cascade of white orchids and feathered white carnations. The bridesmatron's cascade was of tangerine carnations and rust pompons.
The bridegroom's brother, Paul Martin Gottlieb, Boston, acted as best man. Another brother, John David Gottlieb, Chicago was groomsman. Rober5t Alan Wendt, brother of the bride, ushered.
A reception for 100 guests was held in the church parlors following the ceremony. A wedding dinner was served at Oage Thomsen's at 8 p.m.
After a wedding trip to New York and Boston, Dr. and Mrs. Gottlieb will make their home in St. Louis.
