Wm. Deaver To Wm. Reed } Deed
This Indenture mad and entered into this the 13th day of Jan 1849 between William Deaver of the county of Henderson and state of North Carolina of the one part and Wm. Reed of the county of Benton and state of Arkansas of the other part witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of three hundred and seventy five Dollars to me this day in hand paid by the said Wm. Reed before the signing sealing and delivering of these presents the receit whereof is hereby acknowledged I the said William Deaver have given granted bargained sold and conveyed unto the said William Reed his heirs and Assigns all the right title and interest either legal or equitable which I have or may have in and to following described tracts or parcels of land belonging to the estate of Jane Deaver deceast viz.

one tract of Land containing five hundred and twelve acres be the same more or less it being a part of a six hundred and forty acre tract granted by the state of Tennessee to Brice Martain and Wm. Martain by Grant No. 19522 dated 4th day of July 182- situated being and lying in the county of Hardeman and state of Tennessee in the first Range and first section of the tenth district and bounded as follows to wit beginning at a stake and four black jack pointers forty poles west from the south east corner of entry No. 809 in the name of Jacobb Haws for five thousand acres it being the beginning corner of said 640 acre tract running thence south one hundred and sixty two poles or there abouts to a marked corner it being the north East corner of one hundred and twenty eight Acres a part of said tract of six hundred and forty acres heretofore conveyed by the said Brice F. Martain & Wm. Martain to Jon Murry as his locative interest in said six hundred and forty acre tract. Thence west with Murrys marked line four hundred and twenty six and four tenths poles to his corner in the west boundary of said six hundred and forty acre tract. Thence north with said west boundary line to two post oaks marked BFM it being the north west corner of said six hundred and forty acre tract on the south Boundary of said tract of 5000 thousand Acres. Thence four hundred and twenty six and four tenths poles to the beginning.

Also one tract or parcel of land containing six hundred Acres situated being and lying in the county of Hardiman and state of Tennessee and in the 10th surveyors district in range one and section one being a part out of a five Thousand acre tract Granted by the state of Tennessee to Jacob Haws and bounded as follows beginning at a post oak & Blak oak marked JHB being the south east corner of said five thousand acre tract running thence west with the south boundary of said five Thousand acre tract three hundred and twenty poles to post oak three hickorys & a post oak pointers thence north three hundred poles to a black Hickory two post oaks and a Hickory pointers. Thence east three hundred and twenty poles to a hickory on the Bluff of the Branch in the East boundary line of said five Thousand acre tract. Thence south with said east boundary line Thence three hundred poles to the beginning.

To have and to hold all my interest right and title in and to the above described tracts of land belonging to the estate of Jane Deaver Deceast unto the said William Reed his heirs and Assigns forever and the said William Deaver is lawfuly entitled to a distributive share of the above described tract of land belonging to the estate of the said Jane Deaver deceast and that the above described tracts of Land are free from all incumbrances of mortgages and that the said Wm. Deaver shall and will warrant and defend the same to the said William Reed his heirs and Assigns forever against the lawful claim or demands of all persons whatsoever. State of Tennessee Hardeman County } Personly Appeared before me R. P. Neely clk of the county court of said county of Hardeman Jno. L. Smith one of the subscribing witnesses to the within deed with whom I am personly acquainted & after being duly sworn deposeth and sayeth that he is personly acquainted with the bargainer Wm. Deaver and that he heard him acknowledge the due Execution of said Deed to Wm. Reed to be his act and deed for the purposes therein Expressed & upon the day of its date. Given under my hand at office in Bolivar this 27th day of Feb A.D. 1849. R. P. Neely Clk

State Tennessee Hardeman county } Personly Appeared before me W. C. Duckworth clerk of the county court of same A. H. Rindell with whom I am personally acquainted and who after being duly sworn depose and say that he saw W. Dever sign seal and deliver the foregoing deed for the purposes therein contained.
