State of Georgia Pike County } Whereas in obedience to a writ of firi facias from out the Superior Court of the County of Pike at the suit of Charles McGregor & Alexander McGregor against Samuel M. Shipp, I Zachariah L. Foyer Sheriff of the County aforesaid did lately seize the tract of Land hereinafter described as the property of the said Samuel M. Shipp and after being duly and publicly advertised agreeable to Law did on the seventh day of December in the year one thousand eight hundred and thirty at the place of public sales in said County of Pike expose the same at public out c-when James Neal being the highest bidder the same was Knocked off to him at the price or sum of one Hundred dollars.
 Now this Indenture made the sixteenth day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty one and in the fifty fifth year of the Independence of the United States of America between the said Zachariah L. Foyer Sheriff as aforesaid of the one part and the said James Neal of the other part.
 Witnesseth that the said Zachariah L. Foyer Sheriff as aforesaid for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred dollars to him in hand paid by the said James Neal at and before the Sealing & delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained and sold and by these presents doth grant bargain & sell so far as the office of Sheriff authorised him unto the said James Neal all that tract or parcel of Land Situate lying and being in the Eighth district of originally Monroe now Pike County and Known & distinguished in the plan of said district by the number one hundred and ninety seven containing two hundred two & a half acres more or less Together with all and singular the right numbers and appurtenances unto the said tract of Land -ing belonging or in anywise appurtaining and also all the estate right title interest property Claim and demand of the said Samuel M. Shipp in Law equity or otherwise of in or to the same to have and to hold the said tract of Land and premises and any part thereof unto the said James Neal his heirs and assigns to the only proper use benefit and behoof of the said James Neal his heirs and assigns for and in fee simple in as full and ample a manner as the said Samuel M. Shipp his heir or heirs and assigns did or might have held and enjoyed the same had it not been seized and sold under the oucution aforesaid. In Witness Whereof the said Zachariah L. Foyer hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal the day and year first above written.
