The State of Mississippi Clarke County } Know all persons to whom it may concern that I Robert Mitchel of the State and county aforesaid do this day by this deed give unto my grand daughter Sharlotte Mitchel of the county and state aforesaid a certain portion of my personal Estate as follows viz: Two cows and Clves Branded with the letter M and marked with a Smooth cross and two Splits in the Right ear and one Split in the left also one horse coalt and one feather bed three Sheets two Quilts and two pillows I the said Robert Mitchel this day bind my self my heirs Executors administrators and assigns to warrant and forever defend the above named cows and calves the horse coalt and Bed and furniture and there increase to be the Lawful property of the said Sharlotte Mitchel as her own Right forever the above named property is not to be delivered to said Sharlotte till after my death or in case that she marry to be delivered to her as above bound. Lastly I hereby acknowledge this to be my act and deed.  Given under my hand and this twenty first day of June (AD) one Thousand Eight hundred and forty five. Witness my hand and Seal    Robert Mitchell (Seal) State of Mississippi Clarke County } Personally appeared before me Marmaduke Guardner an acting Justice of the peace of the county aforesaid the above named Robert Mitchell who acknowledged that he signed sealed and delivered the foregoing deed of gift on the day and year therein mentioned as act and deed. Given under my hand and seal this 21st day of June AD 1845.    Marmaduke Gardner (Seal) Justice of the Peace Recorded July 3rd 1845 W. A. White Clk. The State of Mississippi Clarke County } I Chas. W. Moody Clerk of the probate court in and for said county do hereby certify that the foregoing page and half above contains a true and perfect copy of the deed of gift from Robert Mitchell to Sharlotte Mitchell as fully and entire as the same remains of Record in my office.  Given under my hand and seal of office at office in Quitman the 20th day of April AD 1849.    Chas.
