The State of Texas County of Cass } This Indenture made and entered into this 17th day of December AD 1860 between J. M. Wood and Mary Wood his wife of the county of Cass and State of Texas of the one part & Mary Mitchell of the county and State aforesaid of the other part witnesseth that we the said J. M. & Mary Wood for and in consideration of the sum of one thousand Dollars to us in hand paid by the said Mary Mitchell do by these presents bargain sell and convey unto the said Mary Mitchell a certain tract or parcel of land described as follow, to wit, lying in Red River County in the State of Texas on Pine Creek it being a part of Elisha Simons Head Right and located on what is Known as the lower Pine Bluff tract and bounded as follows Beginning at the South West corner of a six hundred and forty acres sold by R. C. Graham to two of the Mr Laboons running North with the West line of said 640 1344 vs to a stake Thence West South and East to the beginning so as to make three hundred and twenty acres.
