In the name of god amen, I John Simpson senior of Wayne County and State of Kentucky, being in my proper senses but weak in body and knowing uncertainty of Life and the certainty of Death firstly I Recommend my body to a most Christian Burrial and my soul to god who gave it Blesed be his holy name, I also dispose of my Worldly affairs & chattles as followeth:

To my beloved wife Christian I Bequeath all of my house hold furniture all my cattle and my Negro woman and her three Children I Bequeath which she Lives and at her deceased to be divided as will hereafter be mentioned

To my son Thomas I allow fifty dollars from my son Samuel Simpson to be paid in trade

To my son Christopher I Bequeath all my cattle and the Negro girl named Bet with all movable at his mothers death

To my son William I Bequeath fifty dollars from my son Samuel to be paid in trade

To my son James I Bequeath my Negro woman and two children Indes and Easter at his mothers death

To my son David Simpsons Children I bequeath ten dollars if demanded

To my son Samuel I Bequeath all the Remainder that I left in his hands after paying said Thomas & William Simpson their part he and alloted them.

I John Simpson senior do acknowledge this to be my last will testament and doth hereby disanul all others will or wills in witness whereof I do herby set my hand name and affix my seal this 14 day of march 1809.
