Notes:

I called my mother and asked her to tell me once again what she remembered her mother telling her about Emily Haisten.  She said that her mother (Lorena Hazel, daughter of Frances Stidham) told her that her grandmother (Emily, mother of Frances) was an Indian who had been adopted by the Stidham family (James T's parents).   Consequently she ended up marrying James T. Stidham.  I certainly do not know this to be true, but that is what my mother remembers her mother telling her. Lynn Russell
