Note for Joseph McKenzie Death

Joseph McKenzie gravestone marker has an engraved date of death as 18 December 1841.  The old marker, as verified by Mr. Robert C. Kendrick Jr. of Gastonia North Carolina had only the year 1841.  The month December came from a researcher in York County who did some research for s descendant Mrs. Fern Fleetwood of Arlington Texas.  Mrs Fleetwood gave the December date to Joseph E. Hart Jr. who had the December date put on the new marker.  The York County Courts records confirm the death date as 18 July 1841, as did another two descendents of Joseph McKenzie Esq. his two sons Arthur A. and David U. McKenzie, as did Mrs. Margaret Cowart of Huntsville Alabama.
